AbinaiCon – Summer Magic Academia

AbunaiCon took place from August 9th to 11th in Veldhoven. The theme for this year was “Summer Magic Academia.” The weather was beautiful and warm, but not as hot as during the two previous editions. The program was once again stuffed with activities, ensuring there was plenty to do. Think of activities like miniature painting, the game room, a movie theater, a food court, the dealer room, card games, and various workshops covering culture, hobbies, and sports.

A special highlight of the event were the evening parties held in the main hall on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Pon du Beats delivered a set of hard-hitting music. The Saturday party, hosted by Abunai Beats, went on until late into the night. During this event, the audience had the chance to vote on the music genre for the next half-hour through a Discord poll. This added a unique twist to the party and kept the atmosphere ever-changing.

Furthermore, the theme for the next edition has already been announced: “Kitsune Matsuri.” This edition also marks the 20th anniversary of the event.
